Shared devices
Musterly can claim a browser as a shared device in one of two modes:
Use a device that can keep a browser open and is managed according to your organisation’s screen-lock and physical-security policy.
Claim a screen
- On the screen, open
https://app.musterly.io/device. - Leave the claim code visible.
- On an administrator’s device, open Settings → Devices.
- Select Claim device.
- Enter a name and the code shown on the screen.
- Choose Kiosk or TV.
- Choose the site, then claim the device.
The screen remembers its device session across normal refreshes and restarts. Do not copy its browser profile to another machine.
TV mode
TV mode shows the live Who’s In view for its assigned site. Assign All sites only when everyone who can see the screen is allowed to see workspace-wide presence.
Kiosk mode
Kiosk mode lets expected visitors find their visit and lets walk-in visitors complete the configured sign-in flow. The available steps come from the visitor workflow, including photos and documents where required.
An administrator can also allow a roll call to be started from a kiosk. Turn on Enable roll call initiation in the device settings and choose a four-to-eight digit PIN. The PIN protects the roll-call control; it is not a user login.
Change or remove a device
Open Settings → Devices and select Edit to change the name, mode, site or roll-call settings.
Deleting the device removes its session. The screen returns to the claim page and must be claimed again before it can be used.
If a device is offline
Check that the browser is still open, the device is awake and it can reach app.musterly.io. If it was deleted from Settings or its browser data was cleared, claim it again.
