Runner installation
The Runner is the link between UniFi Access on your network and Musterly. Install it on a machine that stays on and can reach the UniFi controller.
A server, NAS or dedicated PC is a good choice. A personal laptop usually is not: sleep, travel and user sign-out can stop the connection.
Choose a platform
- Linux installs a system service and is the usual choice for a server.
- Windows installs a tray application for an always-signed-in Windows machine.
Before installing
From the Runner machine, confirm you can reach:
- Your UniFi Access hostname and port

Pairing
In Musterly, open Settings → Integrations, select Add runner, then:
- Give the Runner a name you will recognise.
- Choose its site.
- Choose Windows or Linux.
- Generate the pairing code.
- Follow the command or link shown on screen.
Pairing codes expire quickly and work once. Generate the code when you are ready to use it, and do not put it in a long-lived ticket or shared log.
When Musterly reports the Runner as connected, assign the matching UniFi connector or choose to do it later.
